Huaichun Wang, Ph. D.

Background:

I was born in East China's Zongyang, Anhui Province. I did my undergraduate studies in Anhui Medical University. My master's study was on computational analyses of immunoglobulin superfamily and Ig-like domains at Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, Academy of Medical Sciences in Beijing. My PhD project (with Dr. Donal Hickey) was the study of the effects of nucleotide bias on genome evolution, at the Biology Department of University of Ottawa. I am now working on modeling covarion process of protein evolution, under the supervision of Dr. Roger and Dr. Ed Susko (Math/Statistics Dept).
