Jiwon Yang. M.Sc. student

I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at Dalhousie University. During my undergraduate research in Dr. Sophia Stone’s lab, I worked on the role of ubiquitination proteasome system in plant development.

Research Interests:

I joined Roger lab in September 2014, co-supervised by Dr. Alastair Simpson. I am interested in the evolutionary history of mitochondrial genome. My study is currently focused on RNA editing in mitochondrial genome of amoeba BB2, a Heterolobosean species.
